Team Leader Engineering

What you will be doing with us

As a team leader Engineering, you will work as a mechanical engineer on the one hand and coach your team on the other: 9 engineers (mechanical and electrical) and our technical writer/safety specialist. You will be the first point of contact for these colleagues and guide motivate them where necessary, so that they can continue to develop. You monitor the quality of the daily work of the engineers and manage KPIs. As a situational and charismatic team leader, you promote open communication and optimal cooperation. We do not have a standard working week, but in general you will work on the following tasks:

• You design solutions for the customer from concept to detailed design
• You are involved in new projects and assign them to the right engineer(s)
• You are responsible for guiding these projects and your engineering team
• You can analyze and assess a technical problem in order to arrive at an appropriate solution
• You actively ensure the quality of products and standards is safeguarded and improved
• You work closely with other disciplines to ensure optimal progress and results of projects and the objectives of the organization.
• You will assess the team’s performance, possibly with feedback from project leaders

What we ask of you

• An HBO work/thinking level in the direction of Mechanical Engineering, or comparable
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar position is a plus
• Experience in mechanical engineering and preferably experience with Inventor and SolidWorks
• Good Dutch and English language skills, German is a plus
• A creative mind for solving problems
• Strong communication and social skills
• You are available full-time

Working conditions

We apply the most recent CAO for metalworking companies (small metal). This means, among other things, a market-conform salary, 25 vacation days, 13 ADV days and a good pension scheme. In addition, at Manders we have flexible working hours and in successful years also a bonus scheme.
